I made a sugarless pumpkin pie for Thanksgiving it turned out great. Instead of sugar I used agave, and since agave is so sweet you can get away with using 1/2 the amount needed. I sweetened the whole wheat crust with maple syrup. It turned out yummy! When I asked Jason what I should decorate the top with (I was thinking some cute leaves) he thought we should put a skull on top. Not your traditional Thanksgiving pie, but who wants to get stuck in tradition.
