Matt has been invited to 3 birthday parties for classmates in the last 4 weeks, oh the life of a 6 year old. After the fun that the kids had with these, I figured it would be a great gift, and fun for both boys and girls. We got the double pack of pets for this friend. To finish off the gift, I wrapped it up special. I’ve gotten back to using wrapping paper for gifts, especially for kids, since part of the fun is uncovering the treasure.

Hand Stamped

Here’s a custom necklace I finished up last night. We decided on this design as it’s for a great grandma and more grandchildren are likely. More sterling silver discs can be added with each new baby. I love the new lower case letter stamps that I recently picked up.

On another note, the weather was dreary today, but I like it. Real work sucked today. If you need a personalized gift email me to purchase a hand stamped necklace.

Sashes and Brooches

I’m working on some new items to sell. I only finished one color today since Sam has caught Matt’s cold, but more colors will be coming shortly. These are handmade flower brooches and sashes, each has a unique vintage button middle. These would be great pinned onto a purse for a Summery feminine look.

Do you like them better with leaves or without? Maybe I’ll make some of each. What colors would you like to see? I’m working on some mustard yellow. I think teal would be pretty, black would be practical. Each of the sashes comes on a piece of satin ribbon 9′ long.

I’ll get an update out soon with pricing and where/when they will be available for purchase.

Beautiful Books

I really want to read these, and own them, mostly because they are beautiful to look at.

The covers are designed by Coralie Bickford-Smith, and the books are published by Penguin Classics. We just watched the new Alice in Wonderland movie last night, so maybe I should start with that one.

Keeping the Boredom Away

Matt has been sick all week long. He finally went back to school today, but yesterday I realized why I couldn’t ever home school our children. We went to Michel’s to find a project, and we found these RoseArt Color Blanks, one for Matt and one for Paige. They were $4.99 a piece and came with 3 markers, stickers and clay to make accessories. I’m hoping they go on sale as they’d be good to stock up on for a summertime project, and I’d like to make one too!

And here’s a sneak peek at a project I’ve been working on. A combination of etching and stamping. Two of these are ready to add a stamped name to. Be on the lookout for a line of stamped pendants soon, and email me if you’re interested in one.
